Remnants / by Brett Holman

I was taken to the Michigan Central Station soon after I moved to the area. After talking with a lot of people about the demise of The Motor City, I decided to visit it again to see how I felt about it this time. The more I learn about Detroit, the more I shake my head. It reminds me of driving through Mexico. Little opportunity for work, empty buildings and poverty are the norm. This week the city officially declared bankruptcy and everybody you ask has an opinion on what should be done. Pictures say a thousand words and here is a bigger collection recently featured on The Weather Channel website by another team of photographers.
