Mundane Midday / by Brett Holman

Photography is all about the light and when it comes to using the best light in the world it happens twice a day. Sunrise and sunset are when my camera is out making pictures of the lifestyle. The midday allows me to put down the camera and gives me the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and slow down a bit. I use the middle of the day to scout locations, enjoy food, participate in the activities I shoot, or just relax and share stories amongst friends. There's no time to slow things down when the light is shifting and my heart starts pumping.  That mundane midday is about to end because it's another golden hour, the sun is dipping behind the mountains and it's time to go to work.
