There's something about moving back to a place that you have fond memories of, and living there in a completely different stage of your life. I hadn't yet fallen in love with photography the first time I lived in Ocean Beach in 2002. It's so fun to experience a place with a different set of eyes and fresh perspective. What is everyday life to me may be a far off dream to someone else living in the middle of the country. As a photographer, it's important to realize that living at the beach in San Diego is foreign to 98% of the rest of the world. Shooting where you live is the most important place to photograph because you have home court advantage.
